　　有讀者問「求求其其」的英文是甚麼？我們知道「求求其其」是做事「敷衍、馬馬虎虎、隨隨便便」的意思。在普通的文章裡，我們用 Casually 或Carelessly 便可以。
　　在正式的文章，可以用 Perfunctory，它是形容詞。首先，它是指行動。例如：There was a perfunctory search of his luggage(行李) at the London Airport 是「在倫敦機場，機場人員把他的行李作了馬馬虎虎的搜查」。
　　第二，它指一個人的表現。例如：His smile was perfunctory是「他的笑容很敷衍」，She gave a perfunctory wave and walked away是「她隨便揮了揮手就走掉了」。它的副詞是 Perfunctorily。例如：He introduced the two men perfunctorily是「他隨便地介紹了他們二人」，The two heads of state shook hands perfunctorily for the photographers是「兩位國家領導人敷衍地握了手以便攝影師拍照」。
