可用最簡單的 kiss；要指明錫面，加上前置詞 on 即可。
A小姐：He kissed me last night.
B小姐：On the lips?
A小姐：No... On the cheek.
作名詞亦可：He gave me a kiss on the cheek。另一個常用字是 a peck，就是在臉頰上輕輕的一吻：
男孩對女孩心儀已久，有天終於鼓起勇氣向她表白，問：「可以做我女朋友嗎?」她沒有回答，卻把身子挨近，突然在他通紅的臉上輕吻一下，箭步離開房間。
"Will you be my girlfriend?" Silence followed. Then suddenly she leaned forward and, without saying a word, gave him a briefest(簡短/輕輕) peck on the cheek, and darted(疾走) out of the room, leaving him puzzled and enthralled.
